Ooh, Fancy Stuff Menu

The Attachments menu gives you lightning-fast access to all those different versions of your song that you've been hoardin'.

Peep dem Attachments

Attachments are sortakinda organized into two sections (we tried):

Text Stuff

The text section is all about text-based chord charts. Like, say you downloaded a ChordPro file—OnSong^® app's text renderer will make it sing with all the bleepin' power moves: transposition, formattin', lyrics projection, chord detection, the whole shebang. Srsly.

The Other Junk

This section? PDF, Word docs, whatever else you felt like draggin' in. These get shown "as-is" in whatever app can handle 'em. Plot twist: you could have like five different PDFs all formatted different, or each one's for a different instrument. Wild.

Each row shows ya the file type, key, capo, & file size. Versions of an attachment live right below it with a lil' version icon, & they got their own key & capo too.

Tap an attachment & BOOM—it shows up in your song viewer & becomes the default one. Pro tip: if you tap a text version with no lyrics & the song's got a PDF, OnSong first yoinked the lyrics from that PDF while a spinny boi loads, then switches to the text version. This whole magic trick is controlled by the Convert PDF File Automatically toggle in Song Viewer settings.

Edit Chords & Lyrics

Got a text-based chart? Tap the Edit Chords & Lyrics button at the bottom to bust open the Song Editor. When you're lookin' at literally anything else, this button says Edit Song Metadata instead. Either way, it's your gateway to messin' with the underlying text & metadata of your song.

Throw in More Attachments

Tap the + button up top right to open the Import Menu & cram more attachments into this song. Go wild.

Right-Click Shenanigans

Long-press (iOS/iPadOS) or right-click (macOS) to unlock a context menu of spicy options on an attachment. What you see depends on whether you picked a text attachment or a file, & if it's the one you're currently usin'. Unlocks next-level stuff like pullin' text outta files & convertin' things to PDF, etc.

Tweak It

Tap the wrench icon in the top-left to jump straight to song viewer settings. You're welcome.
