Read The Bleepin’ Manual
Tweak Ur Jams
The track editor is accessed by swipey-dipey from right to left over audio tracks & choosin' the Edit button. This present you with editable fields (fancy!). When you're done messin' with stuff, tap the Done button to save your bleepin' changes. Volume & pan adjustments are heard right away in a track bein' played from the live bar. If you close the editor without savin', they bounce back to their saved values. #YOLO but also #NoYolo.
Track Intel
This is the metadata stuff about your track. Y'know, the behind-the-scenes info that nobody cares about.
- Title is the name of the track, typically the name of the song. Revolutionary, amirite.
- Artist is the name of the awesome peep who made it.
- Album is the name of the album it's from (if it has one, no judgment).
- Copyright is the legal stuff that says "don't steal this plz."
Note: Changes made here get saved in the OnSong audio media library record & don't actually touch the real audio file. So like, fake changes? Kinda?
Sneak Peek
Use this scrubber & play button to listen to the track like you're a music detective. The duration of the track appears next to the preview label. Totes useful for figurin' out all those slider thingies below.
Turn It Up (Or Down, We Don't Judge)
This cranks or dims the output volume of the track so you can normalize all your tracks to not sound like hot garbage next to each other. Changes here show up right away if you're previewin' the track, or if it's playin' from the live bar. Tap the target icon on the right to nuke it back to factory settings.
Pan Like You Mean It
This adjusts the pan settings for the track (left ear? Right ear? Both? We got u.). Changes show up instantly in the track you're previewing, & also if it's bein' played from the live bar. Tap the target icon on the right to reset to the middle like nothin' happened.
Trim the Fat
This area lets you hack away at the audio track like you're editin' a blockbuster film. Start playback a few seconds in to zap that awkward dead air. Set the Stop At value to cut off extra time at the end so nobody hears you messin' up the finale. Tap the crosshairs icon on the right to reset to the beginning or end of the song if you're havin' buyer's remorse.
The File Itself
This section shows you the file name of the audio file you imported. If the file is hangin' around, the size shows up too. If the file can be shrunk into another format, tappin' on the row takes you to Trim That File Down city. If the file is ghostin' you, tap here to link the audio track to another file of the same type (second chances!).
The Nerdy Stuff
Here you can set info about the track like its key & tempo. Tap to open a key picker-upper or tempo slider-arooney.
