OnSong® Vibes (& Also Your Whole Life)

Bring your awesome peeps into the show! OnSong® Along puts the lyrics of the song you're performin' right on your audience's phones. As you play, everyone follows along on their own screen — and if you're feelin' generous, they can request songs, tip the band, & find your links. This screen is where you set up your band, choose what your audience can do, & go live. ZOMG, finally.

OnSong Along is a Premium feature. You'll need to be signed into your OnSong account, & your device has to be on Wi-Fi or a wired network before you can go live. (Seriously, no potato internet allowed.) If you're not signed in yet, this screen will guilt-trip you into doin' it first.

Start/Stop

Tap Start in the upper right corner to go live & reveal your audience's join code. It stays dimmed until your device has a network address, so if it won't light up, connect to Wi-Fi or a wired network. (We know, we know—tech is hard.) Once you're broadcastin', it becomes a red Stop button that ends the party.

Band

Choose the band you're pretendin' to be. Each band carries its own name, links, branding, & request list, so you can keep separate identities for different gigs & confuse literally everyone. If you haven't made one yet, this reads Setup… You can then tap to name your first band. Otherwise you'll head to the Bands screen to add, rename, switch, or remove bands like you're ditchin' bad relationships.

Branding

Style how your band looks to the audience with a background, logo, & colors on the welcome screen & lyrics page. This reads Custom or Default dependin' on whether you've actually bothered to personalize it.

Add tip-jar, social media, music, & website links that appear as tappable icons on your audience's page. This shows how many links the band currently has—hopefully more than zero, buddy.

Requests

Let your audience request songs from your band's collection. (Brace yourself.)

  • Allow Song Requests turns audience requests on or off. When it's on, listeners can browse your collection & send you requests, which show up in Quick Pick. Prepare for "Wonderwall" at least 47 times.
  • Limit Requests To appears once requests are on, & lets you choose what the audience can browse—All Songs or a specific book. Curating a dedicated book is a great way to control exactly what they see & dodge the "Wonderwall" bullet.

Location & Wi-Fi

Help peeps find you & get connected. Both options require Location Services permission. (We're watchin', srsly.)

  • List My Band Publicly lists your band by location on onsongapp.com/along so nearby listeners can find you without a code. You're basically a beacon now.
  • Show Wi-Fi Name shows which Wi-Fi network to join on your audience page—which is handy at venues where the audience needs to be on the house network. No more yellin' passwords!

Once you're live, your audience's join code appears here. Magic!

  • QR Code is what your audience scans to follow along. Tap it to share, print, or save the code — perfect for a slide or a table tent. You're basically a restaurant now.
  • Link is the web address they can open directly. Tap it to copy the URL to your clipboard & spam it everywhere.
