Give Your Band a Look That Screams "We Exist" (Barely)
Branding controls what your audience sees when they open your OnSong Along page — the background behind the lyrics, your logo on the welcome screen, and the colors that theoretically tie it all together. Each band keeps its own branding, so every act or team can have a distinct feel. Or look exactly the same. We don't judge. Here's what you can torture yourself with:
The Backdrop (aka Your Band's Personality)
This section lets you customize the background image that appears on your OnSong® Along page and lyrics screen. You can configure the following:
- Background is the photo shown full-screen behind the lyrics, scaled to fill your regrets. Tap to choose an image from your library, Files, or the web. After you pick one, the OnSong® app generously offers to pull a matching set of brand colors from the image automatically. (It's basically doing your job for you. You're welcome.)
- Composition decides how the background & gradient mash together. Tap to cycle through Image & Gradient, Image Only, & Gradient Only. It appears once you've set a background, because we're not total monsters.
The Logo (Your Brand's Tiny Savior)
Here you can specify a logo that appears over the background image or gradient & makes everything look less janky.
- Logo is shown centered on the welcome screen your audience sees before the music starts (aka when they're still deciding if they made a terrible life choice). Tap to import a transparent PNG from your import locations.
- Display controls what the welcome screen shows. Tap to cycle through Logo & Text, Logo Only, & Text Only — handy when your logo already includes your name & you're too lazy to add it twice. It appears once you've set a logo.
Accent Color
The accent color can be automatically derived from the background image you input, or you can pick one yourself & probably regret it. This is used to render call-to-action buttons & selected lyrics sections. It's also used for the Follow Along button, the top of the audience-page gradient, & your band name. Tap to open the color picker & unleash your inner Crayola artist.
Dark Color
This is the color at the bottom of the audience page's gradient when there's no background image. It defaults to black (because we assume you're sad). Tap to open the color picker & prove us wrong.
Text Color
You can determine what text color to use on top of your background image or gradient so people can actually read your lyrics.
- Automatic picks black or white for you, whichever stays legible over your colors. Leave it on unless you need a specific text color & you're feeling spicy.
- Color lets you choose your own text color when Automatic is off. Tap to open the color picker. It appears once Automatic is turned off, because logic.
Remove Custom Branding
This button clears your background & logo images & resets the accent, dark, & text colors to their defaults, returning the band to the standard OnSong® Along look. (aka "We Give Up.")
