Google Cast

Google Cast be sendin' lyrics from th' OnSong^® app t' a TV or projector over Wi-Fi, usin' a Chromecast, a Google TV, or any display with Google Cast built in. Arrr, there be no capture box, no HDMI run across th' room and no second computer t' operate — th' receiver joins th' same network as yer host device, and th' OnSong^® app drives it from th' stage or sound booth, savvy?

What th' room sees be yer song — yer chosen background image or motion background, yer stylin', and th' words for th' song ye be on. Because th' receiver loads a page served by th' OnSong^® app itself, th' projection follows along live as ye move through sections and change songs, matey.

External Video

Th' Google Cast button lives in th' External Video Menu, alongside th' rest o' th' projection controls. Open it from th' menubar and th' Google Cast logo appears in th' toolbar. Th' cast glyph lights up in yer accent color while a session be runnin', so ye can tell at a glance whether th' display be live, Arrr!

Th' button appears only on devices that support Google Cast so it be not available on th' macOS version o' th' OnSong^® app.

Requirements

• OnSong^® Premium Subscription. be required since it involves lyrics projection, as be Scenes and Live Video backgrounds, ye scallywag.
• Chromecast, Google TV, or Cast-enabled Display — or a browser on th' network, if ye be usin' th' web browser technique, matey.
• Local Wi-Fi Network must be th' same for th' host device such as yer iPad, and th' Google Cast receiver. Th' OnSong^® app serves th' projection page from th' host device directly over th' local network, so both ends have t' be able t' reach each other. Guest networks and venue networks that isolate clients from one another be th' usual reason a receiver never appears, Blimey!
• Local Network Access must be granted t' th' OnSong^® app. Th' operatin' system should prompt for access th' first time or ye can enable Local Network Access through th' OnSong Settings Screen.

If th' display goes blank or stops followin' th' song, th' network dropped rather than th' app — th' receiver be loadin' a page from yer host device, not a stream from Google. Reconnectin' from th' Google Cast button re-serves it. On an unfamiliar network, castin' t' a web browser on a laptop first be th' quickest way t' find out whether th' network will carry it at all, savvy?
