Custom Font

Ahoy, matey! Avast ye, here be th' translation fer yer readin' pleasure, savvy?

Instead o' usin' one o' th' default OnSong^® app fonts, ye can tap on th' ... button t' choose a custom font. Every font family installed on yer device be listed, each one rendered in its own typeface so ye can read th' name and see th' face at th' same time. Tap a font t' apply it t' th' song.

Th' four families already sittin' in th' slots be left out o' th' list. That be because they're one tap away on th' row itself, so they'd only be duplicates here, savvy?

Default

This row at th' top o' th' list clears th' custom font and returns th' chart t' th' font it would otherwise inherit, Arrr! A checkmark sits next t' Default whenever no custom font be set.

Current Font

If th' font ye be usin' ain't one o' th' four slots, it appears in that same top section beneath Default, drawn in its own face and checkmarked. That saves scrollin' th' whole list t' confirm what ye be on, and makes it a short voyage back if ye try somethin' else and change yer mind, matey.

Font Choices

Th' OnSong^® app stores th' font family rather than a specific weight, so bold and italic in yer lyrics keeps workin'. Decorative and symbol fonts be listed alongside th' rest because they're installed on yer device, but most make poor readin' at a distance. Chord charts be read in glances, not sentences, ye scallywag. A plain face at a comfortable size beats a characterful one every time — save th' personality fer th' set list, not th' song, Blimey!
