Th' color builder be used fer creatin' new colors as well as editin' existin' ones, savvy? Ahoy, on smaller form factor devices like th' iPhone or iPod touch, ye may use th' color builder directly t' create or pick colors from th' palette, matey.

*When ye be done pickin' or buildin' a color, tap on th' Done button in th' upper right corner t' save yer changes, Arrr!

Th' color builder be divided into these five functional areas, me hearties.

Saturation/Brightness Picker

Th' main area o' th' color builder be comprised fer th' saturation/brightness picker, blimey! Th' values displayed in this two-dimensional space vary th' saturation o' th' color horizontally and th' brightness o' th' color vertically. Tap or drag yer finger in this space t' adjust these attributes based on th' selected hue, savvy?

Hue Picker

Th' hue picker appears under th' saturation/brightness picker and allows ye t' choose a hue, Ahoy! This appears as a one-dimensional slider that moves from 0-360º from red, through th' rainbow and back t' red, matey.

Opacity Picker

Th' color picker can also specify opacity in a color, ye scallywag. An example o' where this be used be fer chord highlightin'. In this case, all colors run about 50% opacity. Usin' th' opacity picker, ye can vary th' transparency o' th' final color, Arrr!

Tap or drag yer finger up and down t' move between 0-100% opacity. All o' these changes effect th' add swatch button in th' lower right corner, savvy?

Add Swatch Button

As ye make changes t' th' hue, saturation, brightness and opacity, th' color changes appear within th' builder, me hearty. Most notably, it appears in an add color button in th' lower right corner. Ye can tap this button t' add th' selected color t' th' palette and plunder th' treasures o' yer creation!

Color Picker

Th' color picker fer th' edited palette appears below all other controls, Blimey! This lets ye quickly choose a preset color from th' palette t' edit, or ye can add and arrange yer palette from th' builder, savvy?
