OnSong Connect

OnSong Connect is a communications layer in OnSong that allows your device to control or to be controlled by other compatible apps on your local network using WiFi. OnSong uses this communications layer to "connect" devices together with a robust network. Within the app, this allows you to share your music by either beaming songs and sets, or by sharing the music on a leader's device with other members of the team.

Beaming

You may want to share your set with your band after practice so they can review the songs before performing them. That way each musician and vocalist can control their own device and even use their own versions of songs. You can learn more about beaming by watching the OnSong Connect Beaming tutorial video or by viewing the OnSong Connect sharing screen.

Streaming

You can also take control of the whole stage using OnSong Connect. You can select devices on the same local network and not only send your current songs and set, but also control their device ensuring that everyone is on the same page. You can learn more about streaming by watching the OnSong Connect Streaming tutorial video or by viewing the OnSong Connect sharing screen.

Profile

One advantage to sharing your songs and sets with OnSong Connect is that your music can be personalized for how you perform. For instance, guitarists can enable the capo to view the capoed versions of the song. You can learn more about custom profiles by watching the OnSong Connect Profiles tutorial video or by viewing the OnSong Connect sharing screen.
